We need to remember and not forgot as part of our country has forgotten these people.

Horrific tragedy all around. Glad you personally made it out with minimal damage. I'll be relocating to the area once we sell in San Diego and it is disheartening the amount of loss being suffered up and down the eastern corridor. I was just in Charlotte and the Carolinas for a family reunion and I pray for all the kind souls we met. Stay safe yall.

I found the source from my comment at the end on the blood supply hack and that was from August and the story was recirculating. Hopefully that's all resolved now, but giving blood is always good after a disaster (and any time.)

Tampa and the entire bay area lucked out because if the Eye of the storm just tilted a little more east, Wesley Chapel, Brandon, Riverview, Lakeland, Orlando and Central Florida as a whole would look like New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina mixed with what happened in North Carolina. All it takes is one storm and Tampa will also be destroyed. Hurricane Ian was heading for Tampa as well and that was luck. But be ready and evacuate if that eye heads to Tampa. The Gulf Coast was destroyed and the Eye of the Hurricane was 150 miles away from land in the Gulf.

My house in Riverview isn't in a flood zone. Would we still have to evacuate?
