Great catch!! Talk about apparatus longevity!! 37 years! Still has the original light bar on it. Pride of Ybor City!

Dang you got real lucky, rumor has it that the first foam unit behind the engine is the oldest frontline unit in the whole fleet

It is. Foam 4 is the oldest being from 1986. Foam 4X which is the last truck originally was the oldest having a truck from 1980 but that seems to have gotten replaced

@@robloxfirevideos4117 Is the other foam unit newer (Foam4x?) To me it looks new.

@@mcembuff Yes. Foam 4X got a new Freightliner dump truck looking kind of truck. Not sure what they are gonna do with the 1980 Ford F-800 that originally served as 4X. Foam 4 still has their 1986 rig

What a bizarre apparatus and what a strange place for it to be. Typically an ARFF truck from the much closer St Pete Clearwater airport would respond as mutual aid. Maybe it already had and more resources were thought to be needed. Or maybe there was a reason they couldn't go off airport at that particular moment and thus mutual aid all the way from Tampa was called in. Anyone know what actually happened at this incident? Was an ARFF unit also called in and did the Tampa foam units actually engage or did they end up only on stand by?

Tampa ended up handling all fuel offloading from the tanker. Clearwater requested PIE’s ARFF units but they were told they can’t leave airport property
