A well constructed and entertaining and enjoyable video. Looks like you have been polishing up your video editing techniques. Good to see the mini interviews with familiar faces. Went to Tank Fest earlier in the year and loved it. Maybe next time your could chat to the people who recreate scenes from the era, and get dressed up and tooled up in their newly dug fox holes. I was impressed by them.

Is that an M60 Patton behind Mr. Frost at 2:50? Also, has the Tank Museum ever had an M1 Abrams, either on loan or visiting for Tankfest? I also wasn't aware that the gun on the Sturmtiger was in fact a giant rocket launcher, so I learned something while being entertained.

Tiger Exhibition is also missing the Tiger I (P) of which Ferdinand/Elefant is a tank destroyer version. Sturmtiger is a version from Tiger I (H) and Jagdtiger is a version of Tiger II. So not one but two tanks missing.
@Tuning3434
7 жыл бұрын
+Halkomahooli While I am not absolutely sure, i thought all but 5 Tiger I (P) hulls had been converted to Ferdinands, I expect it to be a very very rare tank. And knowing that Bovington does have a Jagdtiger in display, and according to the website is displayed at the Tiger Collection display, they've got that one covered to.
@isuzu6851
7 жыл бұрын
There was only one Porsche tiger kept in original conversion. it had turret number 003 and was commanded by Hauptman Grillenberg as the command tank of the Panzerjager abteilung 653. It was deployed in 1944 and lost in July.
@boerharms2209
7 жыл бұрын
but the Tiger P (VK4501P) doesnt exist anymore... so it would be impossible to have it in the exibit...
@RWJP
7 жыл бұрын
When they say "Only one tank missing" they mean of the survivors... None of the "Porsche Tigers" survived in their original form. All but one were converted to Ferdinand/Elefant, and the only one that wasn't was destroyed during the War. So yes, technically they are missing two, but one of those doesn't exist anymore, whereas there are still two surviving Sturmtigers left.

Well, Gaijin is definitely making money at the moment, what with the popularity of the £30 IS-6 and various other premiums, occasional GE purchases for premium time/vehicles. Not to mention that I believe Gaijin were able to acquire access to Bovington's archives before development of the British GF tree.
