Today we are taking the new SA315B Lama by Taog’s Hangar up for a short spin around ORBX's Catalina Island. Taog's Alouette III is one of my favorite helicopters, so I was very excited to try out the Lama.
And I'm happy that I did. I was already very impressed with the Alouette, but the Lama is one step above it. The level of detail is absolutely stunning. It's fun to fly, has a ton of custom features and the sounds are some of the best in the sim. So far, I can't find any faults with it.
In the video you can see a short demonstration of the working bambi bucket. If you drag it through water, it will fill up and you'll feel the weight being added.
Originally, I intended to do a video with it over New York City, but for some reason my recording software had some issues and the video came out in single frames. I added a short flyby over Times Square from that flight at the end of this video.
