I drink distilled water for about 4 years , would never go back to any type of water. I keep it in 6L glass jar in open sun , I keep away away from any type of plastic. It measures 1ppm and lower and the beauty of distilling my tap water is that I can see what is left behind , sometimes really nasty stuff , not only that stone where I can probably start making home made tiles :) but I get occasionally really slimy white stuff left behind. I use to stir water here and there to energise it, might just be only imagination but I trust my own instinct :) thanks

I've been drinking it for 30 years, but last year my heating element broke so it was a bit difficult to find parts, started buying filtered water it's the worst ever. I miss my distilled water! Get your minerals from foods and supplements never from water. Any minerals found in water is from rock source and can cause build up of plaque in arteries. Your body cannot assimilate inorganic rock minerals. Those minerals are for plants, the plants assimilate the rock minerals and we eat the plants. Any minerals found in water is nutritionally insignificant, never depend on nutrition from water. Water's sole purpose is to cleanse and hydrate! Properly made Distilled water PH is perfectly Neutral. Any tools used for testing may register distilled as acid but that's a lie. What's really happening is that the pure water molecules are making contact to a inorganic metal so the water is trying to attach itself to it as a cleansing solvent because water cleanses inorganic material out of your body. Another myth is that distilled water will make you leach calcium and make your bones weak, this is not true and scientifically and biologically impossible because your minerals that your body utilizes is already chelated and in an organic form. All that info for you in a brief summary. Enjoy!

But make your own distilled water at home rather than getting it from the store. You should make use of a pressure cooker and some copper wire. Try to avoid plastic when using hot water as the water leeches the plastic and you're drinking plastic distilled water. They've found microplastics in not only rain water and springs, but even in newborn babies. At this point people should be actively trying to cleanse themselves of the toxins that are a constant byproduct of our post-industrial world. That's not to mention everything else that's made its way into the tap water systems and what filtration systems fail to remove completely. Distilled water seems like a great way to do that. Well I have two questions. First doesn't distilled water flush your body so much like a detox, making it not good to drink on a daily basis? And 2nd, should people trust store-bought distilled water?

If you think you are extremely toxic, you can build up slowly; (2 days a week, then 3 etc) but i think it will be fine, i had way bigger healing crises with oregano pills than when i abruptly switched to dw and never went back Definitely dont buy it. It always comes in plastic and it's about 10 times more expensive than distilling your own. Distillers are cheap.

If you do this, you should add minerals to the water. Drinking only pure distilled water is dangerous. You could add pre-workout mix to a few of the glasses you drink each day.

That is only what is left after the distillation. Chlorine, chloramine, amonium and other chemicals have a lower boiling point and vaporizes before the water does.

I've seen vids saying that drinking pure water is very bad for you because it will rinse out all the minerals in your body such as potassium and calcium which is crucial for proper boldly functions .. maybe once in a while to flush out some things you have too much of but I wouldn't recommend it as drinking every day.

I love the homestead approach to functional health. We live in a private well as well (lol) though we are aware of the additional layer of filtration this necessitates. Any data on what distilled water can pull out of the body? Are these calcium/magnesium deposits grabbed by the distilled h20? What about flouride, chlorine, and/or bromide halide toxins? Thank you!

And neither do your pets if you have them. I saw a dog on death’s door riddled with osteoarthritis suddenly become agile again after only changing her water for 5 days to distilled from tap water. It’s also really bad for humans. I was pet sitting for 7 days and drank distilled water while I was there. I came home and after two cups of coffee made with tap water, I had brain fog and my knees hurt really badly.

The fluoride and chlorine in tap water caused osteoarthritis in two dogs that I know. One stopped drinking tap water and suddenly became agile and young again. Even her coat went back to its original color. (This will take anywhere from 10-90 days fully). The other one was our dog and I didn’t know then what I know now and he died way before his time. I ONLY feed my pets and myself distilled water now. The vet will tell you this isn’t true but it is and it’s easy to research it - plus I have my own proof now. I think it’s so evil to peddle meds to all these people and animals when a simple cure exists (if the water is what is causing it and 90% of the time it is). My cats are both making an amazing recovery doing acrobatic things I haven’t seen them do in years. They are 13 years old. I have been taking taurine each day to combat the chlorine in my own tap water. (For bathing, and I am only drinking the distilled). My health changes have been insane too! And I now believe that animals (and humans) do not just age and die with health issues. Every single home in this neighborhood (I was a pet sitter so I knew the animals and people around here) has people and animals with the same issues. All the humans have thyroid/hypertension/foul taste in mouth/COPD and all the cats have cancer or behavior issues with feline cystitis and most of the dogs have arthritis and brain issues or lipomas. I tested the water with a meter and it tested in the 400s! I was so astonished by this. At any rate, I healed my cats of their feline cystitis, pain when they sat or stood and behavior issues simply by changing to distilled! Also, if you already have thyroid issues chlorine bleach will really exacerbate it. It really did for me. The taurine helps but rubber gloves for cleaning may also help if you don’t want to switch. ❤️

Another thing to add in regards to municipal tap water is the creation of Trihalomethanes which are created when chlorine interacts with biological material. Trihalomethanes are scientifically shown to be a cancer causing agent. If you live in a city that is fed by rivers these are far more present than in cities like Vancouver that have granite reservoirs that dont contain much biological material Also what type of distiller do you use?
