Should make a universal kit and sell them. Definitely interested though! just bought my first mill so don't know anything about converting to CNC/programming but it would be awesome if there was a kit available that people could buy to convert their benchtop mills to CNC.

Nice work, very clean and smooth running. I opted for mach3 on my manual acme screw mill. It operates flawlessly both manual and in CNC mode. Now I can keep the machine as a backup for small runs when I need. After getting the backlash settings dialed in it actually cuts perfect circles. One thing I did notice that when it cuts a circle it’s nowhere as smooth an operation as ballscrews having to compensate but it does make that hole exactly how I requested. I picked up a tapmatic off eBay for $60 and it is a nice tool to have. I’ve also got the spring loaded er16 holder for taps which is also nice. You may want to give that a try. I was breaking too many taps without them. They make a big difference.
