Today, Craig and Celeste taste a Pim Sen Mun Mango at Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead Florida during our Fruitcation/Anniversary trip celebrating our 23rd anniversary. This mango is often eaten green (and crunchy) or when yellow ripe. We ate one that wasn't fully ripe, but still tasty. Fruit and Spice Park allows visitors to eat any fruit which has dropped on the ground and also has samples in their front house. It is one of our flavorite places to visit. If you love tropical fruit, you should visit Fruit and Spice Park.
We will be tasting both mangos grown at our own farm on the west coast of Florida and from other Florida farms (mainly on the east coast). Mangos taste different when grown in different conditions and when picked at different times/ripened differently. Our opinions of a particular mango are just that - opinions on one specific mango, off of a specific tree, growing in a a specific location. We are not evaluating a variety in general and by no means intend to offend anyone by our less than stellar review of what might be your favorite mango.
Sulcata Grove is our 2 acre, backyard food forest. We grow over 60 varieties of bananas along with many fruit trees. Our videos are family friendly.
