You’re welcome 😊. I know split chain can seem tricky and I'm happy when I'm able to help show others that it's not that difficult!

Hi, I've watched a couple of videos and read some tutorials online to try and figure out split chains. Your video was the one that made it click for me. Thank you, this was very clear and calm, exactly what I needed.

7:34 Pop! That was funny. Thank you so much for making this video with the narration. It seems my brain can only follow one thing at a time, so I get terribly distracted when there's text on the screen while you're tatting. This narrated version is perfect for me and I was able to do a fairly nice split chain on the first try. Thanks for sharing your knowledge; you're such a good teacher.

Happy New Year Frivole. Thanks for another great video tutorial- you definitely make new techniques easier to accomplish. Saw this while struggling with how to move from round one to round two of a beginner pattern that advised "cut and tie ". Got it right after a couple tries- I was not snugging the stitches as you showed, but once I did that it's perfect. Merci.

The pattern I'm trying to do has the "cut and tie" for the next row, and has a specific picot to start the next row. I'm struggling with trying to figure out where in the pattern to start next row if I'm not at the picot that they tell me I should be at. Any trick for figuring that out? It's the bottom of a baby booty. I don't have the pattern in front of me at the moment.

Joelle, what kind of thread did you use here? It has such a pretty, silky sheen to it. Lovely.
@11Frivole

Hi Julie, as I state it's size 10 thread, I'm pretty sure it's Lizbeth Country Turquoise Light. I don't keep and use many size 10s. I really like this shade of Lizbeth. I really should note the thread I use each time in my videos! I'll try to remember that in future. :-)

Hello, yes, I guess that is a bit true... but on the other hand, being able to use split chains saves work in not having to cut, tie, and start again when moving from round to round. :-)

Hello, I just wanted to ask what is your preference with threads ? I am having terrible trouble finding a nice thread that doesn't loop or split... is there such a thread I wonder ......
@11Frivole
6 жыл бұрын
Hi Marian, I am a big fan of Lizbeth thread which is one I use all the time. There is such a great range of colours. Another I like to use too is DMC Babylo (a bit softer than Lizbeth but very pleasant to work with and less expensive). I hope you find one you enjoy.

I prefer Lizbeth thread too and Anchor makes a thread that has a tight twist like Lizbeth but is harder to find.

Hello! Sorry I hope I'm not bothering you I just wanted to ask have you made the sister video (the FSBS edition) you referenced in your description and if so could you link it to me because I can't seem to find it. Thanks for all of your time :) Bye! Christina :)

Hello Christina, oh, I think I may never have made the second video! Well done for reminding me. I still have the older video that has no sound (it used to have annotations but then KZitem removed them for some unfathomable reason). Here is the old video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yo-kqmlumJFpYJw But I will put on my list to make a new video for the FSBS chain.
