Tattoos don’t always need a story, it’s ok to get one just because you like it. The words “tattoo” and “regret” end up together a lot even though I could never see myself ever regretting a tattoo. Even if you don’t like it in 10 years, it still represents a part of your life. Remember, you only live once.

@@alexbarcovsky4319 There is such a thing as cover ups, and if you’re brave you can get them removed although I’ve heard that’s really painful. What I was mainly talking about is that when I talk about getting a tattoo I constantly hear “You’ll regret it when you get old…” except when I ask older folks about their tattoos I’ve never heard one say that they regret or wish they had never gotten them.

@@alexbarcovsky4319 Thats pretty interesting since I’ve had the opposite experience. Just goes to show that there is many different people with different experiences with tattoos. I can imagine people who got the name of maybe their ex or maybe the tattoo simply didn’t turn out how they thought it would be would be upset or regret it. But it seems Chris has thought out his tattoos and they seem well done. I know I personally wouldn’t just walk in somewhere and just get one, although I know people do that. I’ve been researching artists and styles to see exactly what I want.

"Fernweh" stands for the german word for "wanderlust", which is also a german word xD
@starlit-rain
6 жыл бұрын
Flying Ruffy yes, but Fernweh is kinda a different thing. Wanderlust (wanting to wander / explore) is the need to go somewhere and Fernweh is well, as he said, being homesick of a foreign country or the distance (Ferne). I‘m German so i hope I explained it correctly but anyone can correct me if they want to!
@SamsonGuest
3 жыл бұрын
Wandern = hiking Lust = joy or desire (in this context) So wanderlust describes a desire to hike or a joy taken in hiking. It can be used interchangeably with fernweh but honestly it depends a lot on the context. Wanderlust closely related to a desire/joy to be in or hiking hrough nature. Fernweh as stated above is pretty well described as the opposite of being homesick, homesick in german is Heimweh. "Heim" translates to "home" ans "weh" to "pain" or "suffering". So "fernweh" = "distancesick", "heimweh" = "homesick" One could say being sick of being home. A desire to travel and explore distant or new places. But fernweh does not related to nature, hiking or movement necessarily like wanderlust does. It's more a desire for a change of scenery to what you're used to. So it might be a city trip without much walking. And even if your walking all day through the city you wound describe it as hiking and also wanderlust wouldn't really apply to the desire to have a exploring walk through NYC. But Wanderlust will apply to exploring the rocky mountains even though your living in Colorado and do so a 40 minute drive from your home in an to you familiar area.

Your tattoos are beautiful artwork, and are very personal, with layers of meaning. That said, the events and memories from your past are already written into your energy and personality. As your life changes and you grow and change, there is no need to put these things into permanent ink on your outside what is inside. I can see that you have been fascinated with the dark and mysterious. As many of your tattoos are dark symbolism. It's almost as if you want to prove that having these negative things written on you long term have no effect on your spirit. But if they truly have no effect, then why use them? You could get temporary tattoos for effect, or use clothing or jewelry. A tattoo is a commitment. A constant reminder. It can't evolve, it can't be resilient. I know it looks edgy and trendy and modern, in an old fashioned, Steampunk sort of way. I like Steampunk. No plastic. A world of science and time travel. I've been reading about the fourth phase of water. It's science. Water acts like a crystal. It has a memory. It sustains our life. All biological life needs water to reproduce. Words matter. What is written is prophecy. Magic belies mystery. Don't loose the wonder and mystery for dusty dead science. Science is merely a tool, not inspiration for life and meaning. Just because with magic you can fool and surprise people doesn't mean that the spirit has no influence. In the end the spirit is the only thing that has influence. Love is the only thing that can be created out of nothing. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. Be careful what you brand on the only horse you get to ride through this life. If you are naming a boat, do you call it a shipwreck? The placebo effect is not superstition. It is actually a bit of evidence of how individual creation works. 3 6 9
