@necrokittie2291
Жыл бұрын
*listens to this guy talk about 6 grams being max dosage while she stirs her 8 grams of taurine into her coffee* you know. i have friends who are taking taurine in the double digits. 2 of them have/had gallbladder stones so bad their poops used to axel grease because they were not digesting their fats and one of them got the bright idea of mega dosing, i think it was 60 grams all at once and if caused his gall bladder to clench up and pass a whole bunch of stones. he only does this on the weekends when he can be around the toilet because it does give him diarrhea. and now that one friend has been getting the other into higher dosages. the other gets diarrhea at around 17gram so be just hovers around in the lower teens. this gall bladder has been cleared out enough that he finally got to lower the amount of ox bile he is taking and his poops are staying solid and not turning into axel grease again. he has also been having to build up a tolerance to taurine over the better part of a year before he was able to go that hard. and yes this dude is right that over taking taurine can deplete other nutrient, i just forgot what it was once i realized i was getting enough in my diet. it's whatever nutrient helps the body deal with sulfur because taurine is a sulfur amino acid. so over taking it will deplete that nutrient. off the top of my head a couple of other things missed in this video about taurine is that everyone is deficient in taurine. taurine is in all of the interstitial fluids(fluid between cells). this fluid when an animal hangs to be aged all drops out of the animal taking taurine with it. both the aging process depletes it and leaks it out. so meat (your only good source of taurine) becomes deficient before people even get to eat the meat. and people aren't eat enough meat in the first place. if you want to get it from you food fresh meat, is the way to go, so is seafood, fresh crustacean have the most. you can't over do it when eating seafood. also, the body creates taurine, not enough to meet all the body's needs but it's production is around half by age 40 and almost non-existent by age 65. so the older someone is the more important it is that they eat more fresh meat. this is why you see elderly people without muscle, it wastes away because they don't have the taurine to maintain their muscles. give those skin and bones people taurine and they will regrow muscle and feel great again and strong again. a couple years back i met a 62 year old lady who weighted only 84 lbs. she didn't know how to buy off of amazon and was kind of isolated, i bought her some taurine and got her eating alot more meat. she weights 130lbs now and feels stronger then she did in her 30s because she has more muscle now then in her 30s. people over 40 should probably be on 2g to 3g daily. and the elderly on 3g or more, whatever helps them regain their muscle. just ease into the higher dosages. when i began 4g would give me a weird pressure headache because i wasn't used to processing the sulfur, which i got over by just being persistently on 3g for weeks before trying again. no one should be suggesting over 9 grams of usage because that is where the science stops. legal consequences can happen when you tell a person to take more of something then science has explored. and science studys currently haven't gone past 9 grams. there are no studies to back mega dosing of taurine. though the friend who started megadosing in the first place did mention it is hard to overdose considering taurine has a half life of an hour in the body. the only danger i know about taking taurine is that is can lower blood pressure and when newly upping your dosage for the first time it might make you dizzy or faint. so. don't go driving heavy machinery on the days you up your dosage amount. though from the long term users.. they seem to be able to take their normal dosage and then take more later in the day without difficulty. some do that because they sleep better when they take some more just before bed. use your best judgement, i'm just some rando from the internet. not medical advice.. etc. good luck people.

Why is it considered a non essential amino acid? I’ll purchase some and try it. The Okinawans, who are the longest living population consume a lot of taurine through seaweed
@larsnystrom6698
Жыл бұрын
@TcapTapes The body can produce Taurine from other amino acids. That's enough for not outright deficency. Therefore it's non-essentioal. Although it's better regarded as condtionally essential. We get some from animal food. But vegitarians don't. So I think they should supplement with it. Taurine is different from other amino acids in that it isn't in proteins as they are. Perhaps that's the reason it has escaped consideration from most nutritionist! It should be noted that taurine is very important for the correct development of the brain and nervous system. And really young children can't produce enough of it! It wouldn't suprise me if pregnant woman would be recommended to supplement with it in the future, instead of warned of because of insufficient research.

@@sony-hq3uz I have a glutamate problem. I will literally stutter and I can't find words. I also have this feeling that I can't describe. I wouldn't say it's anxiety, but sometimes when I wake up in the morning it will literally feel like my body is almost vibrating at the cellular level. It's hard to explain. But the taurine and magnesium help with that as well. They use magnesium threonate to treat people with stutters. I fixed my sleep issues by spraying my feet with magnesium oil and taking bioidentical progesterone before bed, and by using red lights in my house. In the evening I do not use any bright overhead lights. I have infrared light and I also use red Christmas lights in my house. This helps with the circadian rhythm. I'd say that was the biggest thing that I've ever done to improve my sleep.

Great information. What kind of taurine should be taken? L-taurine? Free form taurine? Is there a difference?

Hey Mike! I just use L-Taurine! I don't think there is much biological difference, perhaps absorption capacity.

So taurine a naturally produced chemical ? But can be taken as additional supplement ? .I notice there's several nutritions that have similar end sounding names & logically each carry out their own unique function . Creatine , Argenine Acetyline ,Cytruljne so are they different forms of amino acids ? That you can also purchase as a supplement?

I give it to my 17 yr old boycat who has hyperthroid (overactive) which is tough on hearts. His heart and eyes are in great shape. Cats go blind without taurine. I just give a small pinch in his food. Its in cat foods we buy but too little.

No, it’s the most common non-protein amino acid in your body. But the fact you ask that shows you have health anxiety - bear that in mind when taking anything. You’ll likely imagine side effects and symptoms- I know because I’m the same 😂

@twn5858 Cats manage if they get animal food. But if they don't get taurine they often get blind and heart failure. Taurine is important for the retina and nerve system. And cats can't produce it, like humans can. Dogs can produce some taurine, but not enough.

Friend: What are the benefits of taking Taurine? Me: Yes I just tried taking 500mg today for the first time and immediately my sinus inflammation went from 30% to 2% and I feel tired for the first time in several weeks. I haven't felt relaxed and calm like this in a long time. I feel like I might even be able to take a nap, which I can never do. So far I am digging this amino.
