Just got mine last week and got lucky. I wanted this one but couldn’t find it. I finally ordered a stainless. When I got to the dealer, we opened the box, surprise they sent the tungsten gray. It is a great shooter and I love it.

I own a defender ultralite, great weapon. the .38spl @ close range, even with standard ammo, will put any man in the dirt. this taurus feels great & is a natural pointer. a purpose designed PDW & they nailed it, imho ✌️

I carry an old 85 UL that I love. One day I will probably pick one of these up. I prefer a shorter barrel for appendix carry. I got a 3 inch charter arms and it stabs my member

this was the one I wanted originally and it's def the best of the regular 3" ones. I now want the Executive grade I think. I want to put a green fiber optic on the front of it too.

a few months ago I bought two Taurus model 605 defender revolvers. one black 2 inch barrel, one stainless mat finish 3 inch barrel, funky grips but feels good I did a water jug expansion test today. my reload 125 gr sjhp , magnum primers, h 800. - x powder 9.7 grains . my new chronograph on back order. data was for 7-8 inch barrel showing close to 1700 feet per second.i can only estimate speed for now in the 2 in barrel 1225- 1275 fps. the retrieved bullet 1/32 in short of 5/8 in across and retaining weight 124.4 grains.no noticed primer flatting. will cost around 10-12 dollars a box of 50 rounds.the only bow I bought at local gun shop was Remington hat 20 round box around 32-35 dollars.thats why I've reloaded for over 43 years.papa wishing you well

Mine is matte black stainless with Hogue grips. I like it a lot. I have to get mine out on the range also. I passed on one at another dealer that had timing problems. Mine works just fine like it should and I spent a few days looking it over to make sure it had no defects or damage. Now I just hope it shoots like it should. I know they shot it a lot at the factory because it was really dirty for a new revolver. Thanks for sharing.

I looked up Hogue grips; they have a good selection. Hopefully, yours shoots as it should, and I hope not to encounter any issues with mine.

@@visiblereviews The Hogue grips came with the revolver. They are rubber and I like the feel of them to cushion recoil but I like wood grips also. I used to put Pachmayr rubber wrap around grips on my autoloaders. The wood grips look better and feel fine but they are not as good at cushioning recoil. Grips are just personal preference.

Since you consulted Taurus about this one, it's enough reason to avoid it. However, when it comes to .38 spl +p the only Taurus revolvers I heard that have issues with +p ammo are those ultra light models. The 85 titanium was the worst, but otherwise I don't generally see complaints with people feeding Taurus a steady diet of hot loads. So, good to see your advice. Since it's like this, maybe the new Rossi 63 by Taurus would be a better choice. Same 3", but in .357 mag (but with integral hammer, so the firing pin is attached to it).

@@Neomalthusiano I have shot plus p defensive ammo out of and it was great! Although,I would reserve that for defensive situation. Otherwise I still believe it's a fantastic pistol! I actually really liked it a lot! Super fun to shoot with very minimal recoil
