4:36 - I just want to note something in regard to when he said, "And then of the 9 British soldiers put on trial, 7 were acquitted and 2 were convicted of only manslaughter thanks to the top notch lawering of John Adams. Don't worry though, that guy comes around to the American cause." ADAMS DID THIS ON PURPOSE. Adams supported America becoming independent, and acquitting these British soldiers was actually meant to help that. Ever heard of the list of grievances, which is in the Declaration of Independence? It's basically a list of complaints against Britain being tyrannous. So, if British soldiers murder colonists in the streets, and most of them get off scotch free and only a couple are convicted of "only" manslaughter, doesn't that show that the British soldiers aren't being punished enough for killing them? Say, like it wasn't that big of a crime? That's just another thing that can be added to that list in support of reason for independence. John Adams didn't just "come around to the American cause" later, he was already for it.

the.colors.of.fire If you've ever seen the HBO TV series John Addams you'd know that's not the entire story. The British Soldiers were standing guard at a building when a group of young teenage boys came up and started throwing rocks at them and attacking them with clubs and sticks. The soldiers were actually just acting in self defense and the fact that any of them were punished surprises me. But then again America was (Back then) just getting ready to rebel against Great Britain. The Americans hated the British so this is why most - if not all - of the Prosecutors were male Americans

As always, John Green does a pretty good job. These videos are better than nearly all the textbooks I've seen. As a teacher for more than 25 years, I have seen my share of textbooks. I harp on picayune details. Here's one. Green misspells Charles Inglis, but I won't hold that against him. There was a Charles Ingles. He's a different figure.

Some in Parliament claimed that the colonists had "virtual representation," but nobody bought that. 2. pretty much, I think. 3.
