Hi Jeff love your content and that you not shy of speaking about Jesus!! I'm in South Africa Capetown and want to get into petrol RC and was thinking about the Rovan range xlt or D5 buggy but watching your videos about the overheating and gearing issues you had with the xlt I wanted your opinion on what would be a good choice ? I would like a strong RC with a good chassis and lots of billet and I'm not scared to open up the engine and do some porting and mods if I need to. Thanks again and keep fighting the good fight Amen brother
@eastsiderc

Brother Wayne from South Africa 🇿🇦!! You like lots of billet! Man honestly I would go with either the rovan Hybrid or the new 30 north DTT-7 with the 38cc BILLET ENGINE! Brother I think thats the ride for you. Its got billet all in it and that billet cased engine which is a nice little engine for sure. The pipe that comes with it is not optimal but you could get an Olimat pipe for it and it would seriously rip! God bless you to my brother!! Appreciate your support Wayne!

Just put you a nice transmission/locker or diff in that KM 002 and it will be a nice car. The rovan and KM diffs suck, the bearings are junk the cases are to wide , casted horribly. The gears are fine.

Sounds amazing Jeff! Great work on this piece of art! Makes me wanna fix up my old tmaxx! I've had some bad luck with the transmission and the engine is old and slow. Do you know if a 3.3 engine and tranny is a direct fit in the 2.5 tmaxx? I've been trying to find that out for a while 🤘👍🤙🔥⚡😁😀
@eastsiderc

Hey brother. You know they make a Conversation kit to put a 3.3 in there which is a great little engine! I like mine it screams and its powerful. But it may slap right on your engine mount brother seeing how you got the easier mounting maxx.

Cool, I'm planning on buying a 30 Degree North 5T clone either the V2 29cc RTR or the V1 roller and converting to a V2 with the conversion kit they sell for it. But right now you can't seem to get the roller anywhere even though i don't plan to buy a truck for another few or a year.
