Now that is strange! I have 20 TEW knives, nearly all made by Lee White, and they all have a strong snap on closing.

That's totally unacceptable! As a former Quality Assurance Inspector it seems like this inspector is not very good at his job! I heard very good things about this company's knives. I've been looking for an heirloom quality folding knife but after seeing this quality mistake getting through I'll keep looking! Thanks for opening my eyes! ATB Sam Adler

I just bought a Taylors eye witness amboyna burr Barlow. I purchased it mail order and so unseen but found it to be without fault, in fact absolutely perfect.

Strange, these are almost always perfect...

That’s what I taught, but when you see work like this it’s usually the beginning of the end for a company, shame.

@@Beaverbush1969 I have 2 TEW Premiers. The one Barlow is PERFECT. The Slim Barlow is "not so good" as well. I guess you may be sadly right.

Weird. Just contact them. Maybe it’s because of preventing bladewrap??

I did make contact with them and they asked me to take a photo and send it to them of a snapping sound that doesn’t exist, I think when a company starts producing inferior products then it is the start of the end for that company, I certainly will not buy anymore.

Ok, flush the pivot out with mineral oil. There is a lot of dust and grime around the pivot from the factory. I'm sure it will snap back into the closed position with a clean out. Ive sent many back because if wobble side to side to play. Looks like you have a good one there just needs a little work thats all.
