Great video! I purchased this to use in a solo gig at assisted living homes for the elderly. It's great for playing the harmonica. It has a lot of choices to get the sound you want and also makes your voice sound great when the time comes for you to sing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the TC Helicon with us. Very useful info.

I love mine! I love how it makes my guitar and voice sound. It also has an aux input which I have connected to my IPad for triggering pad loops. I have made the first three harmony presets favourites and circle through them depending on the sound I am after - the guitar tuner is a bonus. One thing that was not mentioned is that it also has a simple looper but the recording time is not very long so manly useful for messing around.

Iwas discouraged with my new Voicelice Acoustic, and was considering returning it. You taught me how to use it though, after watching several other "tutorials". I am now saving presets to certain songs, and have saved a "general" preset. Thank You. taking the harmony down to -12 , -18 db really helps, and also adding delay on the harmony makes it sound much more realistic. I don't like delay most times, as it doesn't sound so natural, but it helps a lot with the harmony. Thanks Again.

I have a question, the "big harmony" in the unit, as shown in the unit during your song demo, is it a preset or your own created favorite? as I could not locate it in the entire unit. The reason being that I am unable to create or locate the super vocal settings with reverb/delay and harmony like you. Will appreciate your guidance. I am using an SM 58, Please note that I am referring to vocals only thanks.

Don’t sweat the negative comments. You do great work and I appreciate what you do. I have this pedal and use it for worship with no sound guy and solo performing original Christian songs I write. I would love an in depth video on how to fine tune parameters settings as far as the shelves. I don’t know that much about it. I have the 3 button add on pedal and I use one switch for instant harmony, one for guitar boost, and one for guitar delay. This allows me to toggle in and out of vocal harmonies and use the hit button for a subtle octave lower voice in doubler to give me those bass notes to fill out the spectrum of sound. Being solo a lot, I want to have a full sound and be able to add and remove layers and I found that this setup helps.

Been using mine to lead worship for about 6 years now. I bury the harmonies so that it blends in with our other singers and makes it sound like more people singing. It's an amazing tool for any acoustic guitar playing worship leader, and if mine ever broke, I'd order another immediately! Does wonders for my guitar tone and my vocal.

This is exactly why I'm picking one of these up. I figure maybe I'll use it if I record KZitem videos or play out now and then, but my primary use will be worship leading when it's just me up there and my guitar. EDIT: Picked one up and already started using it for worship leading. Oh by the way, the compression is built in.

Thanks for the great review! Still got one question. Can you save presets and put them in the right order? So when you're playing a song and you want one harmony in the verse and two in the chorus you can quickly switch them during the song just by changing the preset with your foot?
@ELACEBAL

I own a voice live play and the answer is YES. For the voice effects you can store as any presets you want and if you need to change a preset on the fly is perfect because it takes 0 seconds. You can also use the HIT button to set more than one effect at the same time, so you can have some effects activated in normal mode and add some extra effects when you push the HIT button

Or do I need to put it through some sort of DAW thingo? Just wanting to keep it simple, but love the helicon’s vocal effects.

Q: I'm assuming I would use this to set a preset for each song even if there is a good sound team, because I can preset each song exactly how i want it to sound. This looks awesome! I've been wanting to start using pedals and this looks like a good one to start out with. I don't play live very often, but I record music for KZitem and I can use this to make my songs sound a bit better. Some of the effects would just be fun to play with. I am also wanting to get a couple of mics, one dynamic and one an xlr condenser mic. Currently I have a usb condenser mic. What would you suggest for microphones? I have an idea of what microphones are good, but what are some that you like that are budget friendly (under $200)? Also, what audio interface would you suggest to start out with. Again, I have an idea of some that might be good, but I would like your input. I want to get my music sounding better and I want more versatility with what I can do. This will take me a while to get all these things with the job I have and my circumstances, but hopefully I'll be able to get some good recording/live gear in 2016.
@youtubkeeper

+David William A. You can get a decent mic under the $200 mark - even take a look at a used one, so you can get something better for that price. This pedal has a USB interface which I believe can be used as an audio device on a computer (ie, you can then record). I agree that this looks like a pretty good pedal to start on, considering the features and the price. 2 decent pedals would cost you around the same and not be able to do half of what this can.

The Predator hey! So I’m actually trying to decide between the TC Helcion and the Boss VE-8. I heard the Boss live and thought it sounded awesome, but a GC guy explained to me that the functionality was a bit lacking. That is, you would have to bend over and manually turn the knobs if you wanted to change the presets as opposed to having a stomp box. Also, the screen of the TC was apparently above par compared to the Boss. I’m a worship leader so I find this video and thread helpful. Any thoughts on pros and cons of the two? I’m getting ready to drop some serious cash and want to make sure I get what I actually need! Thanks in advance :)
