So what exactly has changed about the Roku OS? Are you having short term memory loss or something? Bc I owned a r625, and nothing has changed in the Roku OS platform, in terms of settings, nor set-up, fme. I think you’re conflating the Roku platform with TCL’s one go around with GoogleTV last year? Bc something isn’t adding up with what you’re saying. I know the menu and picture settings, and how they function, have no changed from even my old s405, and r625. So what are you going on about “they listened”? They changed nothing lol. One thing they most definitely didn’t listen to…was to removed the global brightness setting from being shared between SDR and HDR. That is absolutely annoying!
@powrwrap
2 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that too. My 3 year old cheapo HiSense Roku has that "Apply to all settings" option that was raved about in the review.
@ye-rochawkins5432
2 жыл бұрын
@@powrwrap Yeah, I’m just scratching my head over this. I think it’s a clear error in the video/review. Bc none of these are new features, and they existed in older TCL models, from a few years ago. Now LG on the other hand fixed the “apply to all inputs” feature starting with the C1/G1 series of TV’s, as it didn’t function properly on the CX, for some reason. That’s an actual fix/improvement. I’m starting to find that many of the “reviewers”, actually don’t know what they’re talking about really. Or aren’t putting enough effort into said “reviews”. I’m not just speaking about this channel either. It’s not necessarily that they don’t know what they’re talking about…but they’re not spending enough time with these sets, to truly understand them, and how they truly work. You gotta actually live with a set, to review a set. I find so many errors in many reviews on TV’s that I own (and even don’t own), and spend many hours watching them, tinkering with them, and calibrating them. Maybe I’m finding my calling in life tho. Maybe I need to be a TV/product reviewer. I can assure you that I would be very thorough, and any defects, differences, and improvements will be found. After all…I do have “Hawk” eyes. In the end tho…no company would probably want me to review a product tho…I would probably be too honest in my review for their liking. PS…if I was doing a Roku TCL review…I’d most definitely mention the global brightness setting that is shared between SDR and HDR, and how that is an issue, and should be fixed. But no mention here..least not that I heard. Classy is one of the only ones I’ve seen really delve into TV’s, the way I would/do. If anyone’s out there listening..I’m looking for work 😅
