Previously, I have seen people with gallons of jugs pulling over and gathering water in these spots. It amazes me how much abundance of water in certain states, and other states people have a restriction on water and they can only use certain things.

That's not why the crusades happened. You do realize that most of the Middle East was part of the Eastern Roman Empire for over a thousand years, right? Kinda hard to need to find a "connection" to Jerusalem when it's been in your annex for more than 10 centuries.

Thank you Adam for painting such a lovely postcard of love for a town that I went to Prattville elementary school in the early 60's and lived across from the now gone CHAMBLISS TEXACO on County road 14 in that red two story that my dad built in 1960. It is nice to see that the fountains still flow.

I remember seeing one of those wells in Colorado. Right by the side of the highway in a canyon. There was a faucet attached to it, but i wasn't an artesian well. I'd say it's more of a spring. If you're ever out this direction it is somewhere along State Highway 141 in the western part of the state.

I'm still giddy over yesterday's vlog. Great vlog! The gourds are Martin Houses, so the birds have a nesting spot. They catch mosquitos and other larvae, helping control the population. We have several hundred of them here around the Portage Lakes area. Also, I wanted to post this the other day and forgot. When Hank Sr. died, he was on his way to play a show at the Civic Auditorium here in Canton, Ohio. My mother in law used to tell us stories about how she was in the (segregated... which blows my mind, still) crowd waiting in the auditorium for him to arrive. As it got later and later, without Williams's arrival, the crowd thought that it was just another excuse and laughed when they announced his death. It wasn't until one of the groups started singing, "I Saw the Light" that the crowd realized it was real. She would tell us that there were women in hysterics and fainting from the news of his death. Although The Civic no longer exists, Canton played a part in the final story of Hank Sr.

Generally I am not a big coffee drinker but, every now and then I really love and appreciate it..I love how you find cute and quaint little cemeteries in the most oddest places. Do you know that one can make yarn with Bamboo? I have not used it yet partly because I have heard it is slicker then other yarns but, I think it is so pretty and I love the idea of using fiber from trees..seeing the boyhood home reminded me of seeing Lincoln's boyhood home. If you have not seen that yet I think you might find that interesting..
