The V-8000S was released by TEAC in 1991, and with the introduction of the V-9000 (R-9000), the model number became a four-digit number and we entered the "V four-digit generation". After a while, the V-8000S was introduced as the top-of-the-line model newly equipped with Dolby S. I would like to introduce the V-8000S while also talking about the other V four-digit generation. I have loved this series ever since I started using V-1030 in my senior year of high school. (I have now graduated and gone to A-450...)
I think it is a deck with a very straightforward sound, so much so that even the catalog appeals for a "faithful sound," or in a slightly twisted way, a sound with no distinctive characteristics. What was its reputation at the time? I am looking forward to hearing from you all.
And to those of you outside Japan, do you have any information on the V-10000? If so, please let me know.
English subtitles are available for this video.
