I agree with him by explaining how he grew up with his grandmother. At least he can speak English. Ling, do not try to change him. That's the essence of him. I love the way he pronounces his words, right or wrong. It's very endearing. And maybe, maybe, that's the way he was taught. We understand what he is saying. Even people who speak proper English pronounce words badly. If you try too hard to correct him every time he wrongly says a word, he will become very conscious of it. Just let it be. It's like taking away his identity. Anyway, you two are too precious to really criticize. It's what makes the show what it is. Bless you both.

First of all, I like how this is couple’s therapy😉😂😂 Second of all, between this video and the one where Lamb was teaching Ling Yoruba, I get the feeling that she hasn’t really spent a lot of time in Nigeria or with Nigerians (which isn’t a bad thing btw). Lamb just got comfortable speaking with his Nigerian accent, and he’s gotta expose her to more of our cultures to level the playing field💯. Now that I’m watching this, I’m gonna be more intentional about my American partner getting exposed to my culture and learning Yoruba which he wants to do too. ALWAYS love y’all!❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is just an honest opinion of what I felt while watching this video. Am I the only one getting the subtle “shade” thrown here? It started funny until Ling said, “How did he come from a different country?… he has an accent, but he speaks English so well.” Since when did having an accent determine your English-speaking ability? Why is a French person’s accent seen as sexy to the average American, but when it comes to other countries, you laugh at it? (especially African countries) This is the stereotype most Americans display toward Africans that gets under my skin. Everyone mustn’t speak like an American. Just as Americans do not speak British English, that’s how other English-speaking countries speak differently, too. Learn to accept it. What’s most important is that you understand what they are saying. Of course, Lamb and most people would think this is funny, but it really isn’t. Let’s stop encouraging ignorance and perpetuating unnecessary stereotypes. P.S. Just in case you thought so, most Nigerians don’t speak like Lamb. Maybe you guys should visit Nigeria and use your platform to enlighten people about where you’re from instead of doing these silly jokes.

I felt some type of way tbh. I have watched a lot of their videos and she always comes off as if she is belittling him or thinks she is better than him. Seeing this title makes me think hmm, sounds very shady. Just decided to unfollow for this reason but it was funny at first. The thing is I think he over exaggerates his accent as well to make her laugh which is cute but making an entire KZitem video to teach someone English who is obviously from an English speaking country is demeaning. We are all influenced by our accents, including loads of Europeans and half of the Asian community. More so, as Nigerians, we learnt 2 different types of abcs. An English one and our mother tongue which we end up confusing sometimes. But she treats him like a village idiot.
