@mel0n_ do the obsidian dots works well with something like a zero soft? i wanted to buy them but i heard they have kinda curved edges instead of rounded edges which might dig into soft pads? great video as always!

Generally speaking I'd avoid using dots on soft/xsoft pads, most of the time the dots can't compensate for the depth of the surfacing and the base of your mouse ends up scraping against the surface of the pad. If you want a dot-like experience I'd recommend getting the Jade/Obsidian donuts as those are similar to the dots in terms of speed but they're physically larger so they don't sink into softer pads nearly as much. I covered them in a review a few weeks ago, you can check that video out here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qZql06xrgZh_YKg Hope that helps!

@7:40, you talked about the LED scroll wheel illumination. Do you know if it functions without this plugged in? I don't really care about RGB on my mouse but still want it to function normally, thanks.

I had 3 times the same mouse (hyperx pulsefire hasta 2 with cable) At 6 months of using it approximately the wheel begins with problems that when going down sometimes it goes up and when going up sometimes it goes down now I buy the same mouse but in its wireless version and the same problem is beginning to occur with the wheel, where I play a lot of dust arrives So possibly it is due to dust accumulated in the wheel since it is a lot of coincidence that almost always at 6 months approximately the problem started, and I saw that many people who have problems with The wheel has been solved by opening the mouse and cleaning the wheel by blowing air or compressed air, do you think that if I open it as in the video and clean it will be able to solve the problem? And do you think I could break the mouse when trying to open it? Since I saw that the cover comes out completely when removing the screws it should not be so difficult since I would only have to separate the cover from above and ready I would already have access to the “circuit” of the mouse wheel ready to be cleaned.

I was facing the same issue on my haste 1 wireless. Opening and cleaning it from random hairs and dust did fix the issue. I only took the rgb assembly off the wheel, not the whole pcb. The haste 1 has exactly the same layout for the wheel.

Hey I’m aware that there is a common issue with the scroll wheel. It scrolls up when down and vice versa. Is it easy to fix? Mine arrives today and I’m already worried

I've heard a lot about issues but I've personally never had any problems. If your units does have an issues you can solder on a new encoder, but I'd just RMA the unit via HyperX and use the 2yr warranty.

@@mel0nFPS Hi, I just RMA mine recently and after 2 weeks my second copy started having problems again, and they're even more noticable. I love the shape, my #1, the only one I have no pain at all but the scroll is so annoying. I have Haste 2 Mini.

I owned one wired Haste , got this problem. Got one Haste Wireless, same problem. The solution is swap the encoder. But I'll never get a HyperX product because of the terrible assistance "provided" by them.

😮So I'm not alone on that, I recently sent back my Haste 2 Mini because of that. Interesting and so sad because I love the shape of mini haste, my #1 mouse shape. When I get a replacement I'll consider changing encoder myself.

is the wheel encoder replaceable and not soldered?
@mel0nFPS
5 ай бұрын
Hey sorry I just realized I gave you the wrong info. The encoder here on the haste 2 is a normal encoder which you de-solder and replace very easily. That said though I'd try RMAing the unit before your attempt repairs yourself. HyperX has a 2yr warranty on their units so you should reach out to them before you crack the unit open and void your warranty. Apologies for the confusion and I hope that helps!
