As far as that worn subframe, you might consider lightly blending/smoothing any sharp edges. That way it will alleviate any stress areas and help keep things from cracking.

Drill them out and have a buddy with a lathe turn some steel bushings that you can press in to the holes to use the stock pins. Then you won't need to modify the foot pegs to accommodate larger hardware too.

Pro-tip: replace the swing arm and linkage bearings while you have them off the bike. It will make your suspension feel 100% better and based on how much you had to beat out that rear axle plus the amount of rust on those bolts a can guarantee those bearings are toast.

Bleu or white for the frame 😍 The heat treatment on the peg's arc will not be very very damage if you weld it the proper way ( mig or Tig) arc welding effectively will perhaps be to brutal and make it brittle. But for me a would weld and re-create the OEM hole for using the OEM pins, it's way simple if you break it again. Thanks for mix of your channel ☺️

Drill them footpeg holes out and get pins they sell them at ace hardware a dollar or two each and will look factory they have holes already drilled in the pins for cotter keys. Will let you know what size I drill mine out to. Have to drill the peg holes also but that's easy as well. Just make sure to drill them straight thru not on a angle.

Tip here, ziplock Sandwich bags and a sharpie, put nuts bolts and hardware and label each bag for location I.e. brake caliper front. Also since I have access to a machine shop I would drill footpeg mounts and use a good sleeve or as you mentioned just step up to the next size bolts. Should be simple fix. I can’t believe I just watched a guy take apart a dirt bike. I’ve been riding off-road for over 40 years and have never taken a bike completely apart like that. I have reassembled one for a client that couldn’t put his back together but man that’s a lot of work.
