I don't know how people didn't get it kinda early. I liked having a large stamina wheel, so I prioritized those upgrades. I saw a huge dragon in the sky and did everything I could to check it out. Built a plane and used a combination of batteries and paragliding to reach it. Did people really wait until the end when the game I guess tells you where it is?
@PandosII

@@ejc5105 people did wait, I did at least. I saw a few huge dragons on travels but they looked too high up and too dangerous for me to want to (rightfully or wrongfully) waste time trying to check them out. I got caned by a gleeok early on, and just assumed the bigger dragons would be far worse. I didn’t read up anything online about the game and absolutely loved my playthrough. I still haven’t even finished the game yet. I think I’m close though.

@@ejc5105 I finished the Rito plot line, then wondered “hey, what’s going on with the Deku Tree, maybe the Master Sword is there, that’d be cool to have”. 2 Gloom Hands and the upgrade swap statue later it was in my hands and I was wondering why Link wasn’t just telling everyone “Zelda’s a dragon, don’t believe it if you see her”.

He does a glitch called "zuggling" which allows you to stack multiple weapons on top of the one Link is holding. Which is why you can see Link has a halberd in his holster on top of the one he's holding when the Ganon fight starts. By stacking the halberds, Gymnast is also stacking the damage output, and since he's doing double the damage during flurry rushes (the Royal Halberd has double damage output during flurry rushes), the result of the stacked damage being doubled is enough to kill Ganon in each phase with a single flurry rush.

Zuggling, which allows you to stack more than one weapon on top of the one Link is holding. The result being, Link is using multiple weapons at once as though it's one weapon.

He used a glitch (called “zuggling” to layer weapons and their damage on top of each other. That’s why his weapon looked so glitchy. He was also using the royal halberd, which does double damage on a flurry rush. He was carrying multiple of those, so he had like a 200 damage weapon.

Newer versions like v1.2.1 make a lot of tricks not possible, like the item duplication glitch. That makes using gliders much harder and rubies and stuff like that
@daniell6610
9 ай бұрын
Intro Clip, which this category uses, was patched in version 1.1 and newer. So that would already make newer versions much slower for this category. That and many of the other glitches used here are also exclusive to older versions, so using the newest version isn't possible here.

Well, well, well, look who thinks they're real hot shit with their speedy little fingers and their quick reflexes. Let me tell you something, Mr. Speedrunner, you may have shaved a few seconds off your time, but you've also shaved off any sense of enjoyment or appreciation for this masterpiece of a game. You've reduced it to a mindless race to the finish, ignoring all the careful crafting and attention to detail that went into creating the world you're so callously sprinting through. And for what? A few seconds of fame on some obscure online leaderboard? I pity you, speedrunner. You've missed out on the true beauty and depth of this game, all in the name of your oh-so-precious speed. So, go ahead, pat yourself on the back for your "accomplishment," but know that you've sacrificed something far more valuable in the process: your soul. Oh, I'm sorry, did I hurt your delicate little speedrunning feelings? Did I hit a nerve? Well, good. Maybe it's time for you to take a good, hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why you're so obsessed with beating games as quickly as possible. Next time, try taking it slow and actually savoring the experience. Or don't. Honestly, I don't really care. Do whatever you want, I'm just some random asshole on the Internet. But know that your precious speedrun will never be as impressive as a genuine appreciation for the game, and don't expect me to be impressed or even remotely interested in your speedy little achievements.

Bro what the heck, you could say the same thing about tons of other hobbies too. its just what he is into, he also makes money doing it so its his job. he obviously did a casual playthrough before he started speedrunning it, and THATS when he took time to appreciate it. just because he is not constantly praising the game doesn't mean that he doesn't appreciate it.
