First time subscriber heard from a coworker about your tech talks. Thank you so much for doing them but thank you most of all for sharing your faith in Jesus Christ.

George, you say cold cranking compression is not important… are you able to give a safe CCC area? Im told (as example) on a 89” Evo hot rod build 200 psi should be about max because of tuning ability’s with a carb? Is 220psi safe? Is 230psi safe? And of course the earlier intake cam closes the more compression which hands off to CCC… Is it a matter of compression releases, timing and tune only? Then gas today, 93 ok for higher compression? Example, on blue50, what is the static compression and what is the intake closing on that bike, and are you running 93 pump gas only? God bless! Thanks for teaching videos and bragging a little on the Great King Jesus… do that a little more please!

What is the best way to properly vent a turbo charged twin cam to control crankcase pressure.

Please let's talk about "Reversion". A bunch of pipe manufacturers are making bold claims about anti reversion chambers in their exhaust. Is there any truth to this or what? Please fill us in. Thank you.

George, Tech Talk 183 and 184 were both were full of good information. I know, no one makes a 4 valve head for the twin cam, but would the twin cam engine benefit from a 4 valve head? Maybe open the bore to 110 - 124 CI The M8 started out as a 107 and from I have seen from videos with a cam swap and other upgrades the power and torque goes up pretty good. I am planning on going to Moonshine Harley Friday or Saturday to meet with Arron, any chance you would be around?

George is a much better builder than a cameraman and I'm good with that. Keep on doing what you're doing. BTW-What "gas" do you run in your race bikes? Thinking maybe C-25.

Wet sumping
@paulsparcello2577
Жыл бұрын
Autos store their oil in an oil pan directly below the crankshaft/engine block. Such a design is called a “Wet Sump”. Harleys store their oil in a tank that is separate from the engine block. This design is known as a “Dry Sump.” The oil pump on a dry sump engine has a suction port and a pressure port. Sumping occurs on Harleys when the suction port cannot return the oil to the tank faster than the pressure port is supplying it to the engine. Due to minimal clearances between the engine block and rotating assembly this extra oil that is not getting properly removed from the engine (aka: sumping) starts to contact the flywheel and connecting rods. This in turn causes the oil to aerate (foam up) which will then lead to a host of other problems.
