This tech tip demonstrates the proper way to adjust your conveyor speed on the Digitran.
To see if our conveyor speed needs to be calibrated first lay down material to sew. Then, with a pair of scissors, lay it behind the material and make sure that it's not on the material. Then I will start sewing the material. As the scissors start moving on to the material as you sew, then we need to slow the conveyor down. If the scissors start falling behind the material, we need to speed the conveyor up.
From this point on, we'll hit the conveyor button on our touchpad. Please note that the conveyor number is a ratio of the actual speed. Therefore, the higher the number the slower the conveyor will go, and vice versa. The default speed is typically 2214. Please make sure that the machine is set to 2214 before you start making adjustments. In order to speed up the conveyor, hit the conveyor speed button and decrease the number. I've typically decreased a couple of 100 at a time and then I will test my material again to make sure that the scissors match the speed of the fabric. In order to slow the conveyor down, we'll hit conveyor speed once more and increase the number. Again, I’ll typically adjusted in the hundreds and then test my material with my scissors again to ensure that the scissors match up with the fabric.
