Awesome, no-nonsense. You truly are a professor of the arts. I love the effective simplicity of your system. There IS science and physics behind what you teach. This is so direct and natural that anyone can learn your system. Thank you for posting your videos.

The most practical part is the beginning response hands up on the inside. That is good advice. I would say to develop an instinct of hands up, chin down. After that I wondered why, if there is continuing aggression, he would choose a palm with his right which extends the arm for longer time, instead of punching quickly with his left while keeping his guard up with his right, for "changing the focus." Then he would be in a position to follow again with the right. After the palm strike, which by its nature as a pushing action will be slower, things seem to break down with too much taken for granted of what would happen.

I look at lapel grabs in context of knife attack. Most knife attacks include lapel grab or they parry with the hand that the knife is not in.

This is just one way of going at it. However it is NOT wrong if you slap his wrist/forearm from the outside inward as long as you are moving backwards or better yet diagonally outside the line of his arm and shoulder. It all has to do with timing of course and quick feet. Then you can execute some technique.

Good technique-I call it strike from the Prayer-shown to me by a Jujitsu instructor long time ago-he prayer comes from your hands up in a prayer position trying t deescalate the situation and at the same time be ready to defend.

Everyone watching this nonsense should "change the focus" to someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

this is utter nonsense. reason being, you have to be sitting waiting for the push to even begin the technique... even then, everything would have to go perfect to pull it off.

Not effective at all in real life. All of this is choreographed techniques that are never get tested live. This system has no live sparring to it to challenge their techniques. Just a bunch of practitioners that call themselves master. They either talk really fast, loud, and aggressive or beat up on new comers to look the part of a person to be afraid of. Really they are none of that. You will never know how effective you are as a combatant if you don't have some form of live testing like sparring.

So someone pushes you and you proceed to counter with a barrage of deadly force techniques. You need to brush up on Use of Force laws.
