Steve is so...o motivational. His determination, his smart advices to engage the part of the language that grabs you, to find out a learning process that you like, and his confidence and williingness to make mistakes, are all very quotable. I was actually majored in English. When I graduated, I think, kind of in the back of my mind, that my English is better than a lot of people already. After many years of staying in my comfort zone, I started to realize that I am not getting anywhere at this attitude, that I must work on it to bring my English to the next level. Luckily I found Lisa's English learning videos. They grabbed me at the first watching. Now I am quite sure that as long as I get going and keep learning and practicing, in the long run I can be as fluent in English as Lisa and Steve are in French.

@@AccurateEnglish I understand 6 foreign languages : English, German, French, Arabic, Russian, and Mandarin with different levels of abilities. I'm a 50 year-old Indonesian... I speak German pretty well, and been to Munich to learn German. It was long time ago that I reached B2 level, nearly C1. But it seems that my German deteriorates. I also learned French and Russian, but I don't speak those languages very well like my German, and of course, my fluent English. Now I'm learning Mandarin, and I believe my Mandarin reached A2 or B1 level, because I got Hsk-3 in October 2019. The problem is maintaining the ability. Once you get the B level, you start to be fed up with the language you have learned, unless you have a very high motivation and specific purpose to learn the language. And after that the next question is whether you can maintain the level that has been attained. I reached B2 or even almost C1 in German long time ago, but now it seems that I can only answer relatively correct the B1 level. My German deteriorates. Language is a matter of habits and habitation....

Lisa, ”never too old to learn”. I have been working very hard for my boss, he's not willing to give me a promotion. I don't want to get out of my comfort zone to speak to such a person. When you engage with the process of learning the language, you will get motivated to learn it eagerly. At the beginning of learning any language, you will make a lot of mistakes, but in the long run, you will make fewer mistakes. Sometimes colloquial expressions grab me greatly. He said, ” Yes, but at the back of his mind, he didn't agree. If you think you don't get there, then you will get nowhere. This instruction has inspired me to learn more. Once you get into it, you will digest it. It's an engaging program that engages me a lot. 🌹

Great content. I get rid of my comfort zone by also learning German (it helped me because around 25% of English vocabulary comes from Old German), and in the past, in Germany the professions are considered so important that people were known by their profession, as an example Steve Kaufman, Kaufman means salesman, and a lot of words that are also similar in English comes from German like Smith (Schmidt) means a person who works with iron, Warner (in German Werner) means warrior, and so on, that's make sound easier and so interesting to me. It is fascinating when studying the etymology of some words in English, for instance the word show , in the dictionary appears that it comes from Middle English "sheuen" and in German we have the word "schauen" (to see) to finish we have church in the dictionary appears that it comes from Middle English chirche, and imagine how it is called in German? Kirche, so it is not a coincidence.
