This video explains latest technologies which are used in Perseverance rover. Each Mars mission is part of a continuing chain of innovation. Each relies on past missions or proven technologies and provides its own contributions to future missions. This approach allows NASA to push the boundaries of what is currently possible, while still relying on past developments.
Much of Perseverance’s rover design, including its entry, descent, and landing system are directly inherited from the Curiosity rover, which landed on Mars in 2012. Perseverance carries new technology demonstrations and improved entry, descent, and landing technologies, which will help pave the way for future robotic and human missions to the Moon and Mars.
