"Ted" is also a love letter to Boston. Of course, Mark Wahlberg was born and raised in Boston and much of the movie is shot on location. Shortly before the climatic scene at Fenway Park, Wahlberg gets into Mila Kunis' car on Massachusetts Avenue (which is known colloquially as Mass Ave) between Boylston Street and Huntington Avenue. On a personal note, I saw Norah Jones perform in concert almost 10 years ago at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA with her alt.country group Puss 'n Boots. I stood all of 20 feet from her.

Yeah but how long will that last? Lets be honest here, Seth had several shows already and they all suffered the same fate...a serious lack of ideas or just flat out lazy writing. @user-ih2tr7rt9r

@@PApro well I had to disagree with you on that because from what I just saw for the past couple weeks season one was actually pretty amazing the Show is now the number one Series on Peacock and it’s like 90% on rotten tomatoes I believe the show has been a massive success and from what I’ve been seeing so far nothing has it been awful or terrible as of late it’s not like every other sitcom or any other TV show or movie that turned into a show that has lazy writing they’ve been doing very great and if Seth ever run out of ideas the dude is a hidden gem if he runs out of ideas he will always figure out something new in his head that will stick into you for the test of time and he can always think of other ideas to always do something innovative and unique an interesting and funny and cool as hell so in my opinion I don’t think it’s going to be nothing like that for what you are saying I think for the next couple years this show will never lose its steam and it will probably never be a failure it’s going to keep on growing and growing until it’s going to be the longest episodic television in Peacock history like I swear to God we’re gonna get a season 10 if it’s ever that big and huge and it’ll keep getting more great as the show goes on so I don’t think it will get any lazy writing or be a shit show anytime soon because I was at right now they are making a lot of money everybody is loving it and watching it and Seth said he will do a season two if more people will watch the show once it continues to be even more successful so I’m here to say you’re wrong and your opinion doesn’t matter and I think the show it’s gonna go on forever

The difference between something like Ted and Who Framed Roger Rabbit is that the latter was explicitly - and thematically - juxtaposing two different established styles and genres. The joke was that "toons" and 1940's film noir clichés were mashed up before "mashups" were a thing. Having a belligerent teddy bear seamlessly interacting and bantering with Marky Mark and Mila Kunis is fun and entertaining, but it works BECUAUSE you forget about the special effects. The vast majority of Hollywood movies these days use CGI, and a lot of them do it without us really noticing. When we do notice the special effects it's a bad thing, which is kind of strange. It's just become normal at this point that a movie with a big budget can show us pretty much anything using CGI, but there's no longer any "wow factor". It's just a matter of some CGI being better than others. The Avatar movies were supposed to be the most mind-blowing things ever put on screen and they're completely forgettable, even compared to all of James Cameron's previous films. And Ted could have been a hand drawn cartoon and not a single joke would have been lost.

Honestly, if John had told Lori that he had a chance to party with his childhood hero she either would have joined him, let him go, or they were never meant to be together, the problem is that he didn't give her that choice. Mine would probably have been Wil Wheaton (or any of the TNG cast, but Wil Wheaton in particular). Thankfully I've already had the chance to hang out with Wil for a day (or most of), so it's not likely to ever be an issue for any future relationships (it was at Disneyland, so, like, very nearly the ideal scenario, right?). Also, Joel McHale is both f'ing hot and perfectly cast as a massive asshole.
