This is part 2 of my personal recording of Ted on David Letterman from the early 80's where they talk guns and Ted plays a Stranglehold intro to a jam with Paul Shaffer's band. I was about 14 when I recorded this on VHS because I loved the guy and thought it would be fun for Ted fans to see today. Even way back then, Ted had something to say about guns, media, rock and roll and, of course, himself. His charm is missed by some but his guitar solos cannot be denied. The digital transfer is clean. The original recording always had that unmistakable snow and noise. Nevertheless, I don't mind the friendly jabs in the comments for the quality. Couldn't be helped. I've got more old footage that I'm digitizing and it will be cool, yet crappy, just the same as this and I doubt you'll see it anywhere but here.
By the way, kkp5200 out there has taken my 2 videos of Ted and made them one video passing them off as his, which I find flattering and insulting at the same time. Not cool. I taped this show, kept the tape for 25 years and I found a way to transfer it & get it on KZitem in 2011 when it wasn't easy to do. But whatever.
Update: I turned off the comments for several years because the political hate got to be a bit much & was beside the point, but I turned them back on due to requests.
