What a freaking clinic! Taj Mahal teaching Jerry Douglas, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks and company how it's done. My guitar teacher lamented to me once that talent is the cheapest commodity in the industry, which I can agree with to a point. But still, there are masters in the game and that room is filled with them. I mean come on, when's the last time you saw Jerry Douglas smiling from ear to ear? I can't get enough of this.

It is an absolute blessing to be able to see the process of this band learning songs like this. It's a look behind the scenes of what makes that band so damn good. I would honestly pay for a stream just to watch the band totally stripped down to basics like in this vid. For whatever reason, I feel like they can reach even higher highs/peaks just by using a simple backstage green room setup just like this. Because of that, their pre-show rehearsal vids like this one on youtube show them being able to completely harness the innate, raw musical power that they all possess, and be able to turn that into incredible music in any situation, whether the drummers are playing the coffee table and maracas, the vocals not amplified at all (but still cut through amazingly), or even derek playing through a really small combo amp, this music is still 100% as effective for communicating the feeling or message of a song like this, and can reach down to an even deeper part of your soul. When this band is stripped back just like this, you can guarantee that magic will totally happen.
