Fasi Zaka speaks at TEDxKarachi 2011 on Where Panic Dosen't Strike
About the Speaker: Fasi went to Peshawar University, before getting elected as a Rhodes Scholar to Oxford University.
On 2007, Zaka began to script and script a political and social satire show- "News, Views and Confused", on AAJ TV. The show received significant international attention through publications such as The Washington Post, for its programmes during the second emergency declared in 2007, amidst a severe clampdown on press freedom. He currently works as "Head of Ideas" at Adcom for the advertising of the Norwegian cellular company Telenor. Fasi is also a well known columnist, writing op-ed for Aurora, The Friday Times, Instep and The News. He is also credited with hosting the most listened to radio show- 'The Fasi Zaka Show' for FM91 and is also the host of a popular television show on MTV Pakistan- 'On the Fringe'.
Due to his extensive presence and influence he was declared as one of 'Pakistan's News makers of the Year' in 2006. Zaka also consults, and has done work for the World Bank, ACCA, ICRC and the British Council.
