Being disabled shouldn’t need to be hidden or something to be ashamed off, just because your disability’s aren’t visible doesn’t mean others shouldn’t use there aids as an accessory rather then hide them. Yeah I wasn't being horrible or come across selfish that was my intention at all, I was just saying from my own experience like somebody with a visible disability can get help instant help and support, cause the other humans can see it, but if its a mental disability then you have to spend months on end to prove it just to get help and support, cause naturally human beings are see it to belive it sort of species if they don't see it then the don't belive you. Am not saying people with a physical disability is better of, neither sides are better of but if your gonna compare between mental and physical alone, then physical get alot more help and instantly get support and help aids straight of the bat so they live a someone ok life, completely different if it's not visually seen, it's ridiculous 🙄

My friend lost his arm in a machine while ago. And he was always into creative computer design things. He engineered a cool blade basically a sword into his arm he can swap out with one that is a small storage for his money or drugs, ones a lighter, one can fire off one 9mm round (watched him use this on a cadaver was pretty neat). My buddy keeps making cool very easy to swap out attachments to his. He has a drug problem with speed , just takes tons of uppers. Hes pretty violent too but he's a good guy he and his wife run a bussiness with my brother and only was arrested twice for assault at work. Which is not bad considering he has violent tendencies, its just who he is and it sucks when people avoid him and he gets sad nobody wants to be around him cause he's scary. I hate the guy.

As someone who uses mobility devices, YES on medical devices as fashion accessories!! Being able to customise something you need to reflect you is so important. When I needed to get a walking stick as a teenager, I immediately picked out a Switch Sticks design so that I could feel confident with my stick. When I needed to get a wheelchair, I picked my front castor wheels as blue, my main wheels are the Spinergy with the blue spokes (which my dad's cycling buddies were SO JEALOUS OF because they all wanted Spinergy for their bikes), and the company threw in upgraded tires with blue stripes for free. It makes me so much more confident, because they're me.

The docs and scientists helped fashioned him a pair of glasses that had a camera on it whose wires could be plugged into a port in his head where brain surgeons did a lot of work rewiring his optic nerves. It wasn't perfect, but the man could actually make out solid shapes through a black and white dot array.

In the 1980s I was making and modifying devices for a quad painter. He was having a low moment one day, said "I can't even walk across the room with out this chair." Then we reframed it. I could not get to his studio without my vehicle. Almost no one would cross the country or visit other continents if there weren't flying prosthetics. I was using tools and machines, all at the ends of my arms to make his tools and machines. Anyone who's ever worked with tools has at some point asked for 'a hand,' and would love to have an extra hand. Tilly's amazing. She totally gets it. She's not just part of the progress in limb replacement prosthetics but part of the continuing technological revolution that benefits us all.
