He is guilty, but his father is also bearing a heavy burden as he did collect the funds from his son and purchased the firearm on his behalf. As a parent, what did he think his son was going to do with it at that age?? Some parents are willing to give free reins to their children, thinking this shows him/her that they are loved them. I wonder how much sleep this father has had with the knowledge that his son is still alive, (even though he is wearing an orange jumpsuit), but the families of the deceased are in court holding pictures and memories of their loved ones...never to enjoy being in their presence, in this lifetime. My mom told me she was bullied in school and the adults in her life failed her even the adults in the school didn’t care. She was threatened bullies choked by a male student because she didn’t like him as a date she was called a dike because she didn’t want a boyfriend she wrote a letter and gave it to a staff member but they didn’t take it serious she warned them to tell students to stop bullying she said she had thoughts of violence and she wanted to do bad things. My mom has suffered so many years with anxiety and trust this system this world has ignored the helpless I’m sorry he did what he did and wish there was someone that could of helped him and been a positive roll model so he didn’t do those horrible things. My dad is the only one who can deal with my moms anger and we just let my mom fuss and have her fits then she calms down she never got help or a sorry from any of those pieces of 🗑 people always say the past is the past but it effected my mom a lot walk in these folks shoes for a week.

@@meurumtrain4747 my mom life hasn’t been happy only when she was taking care of us and putting her kids before herself. She gets depressed after months then shaves her head and it bothers my step dad when she does that it’s like she’s hurting herself my mom is very smart and artistic but she can’t function in the outside world. She can only be around us she doesn’t like the phone to ring but we keep a home phone for emergency’s and she won’t give the number out . When she was working she met people that liked her a lot but she shuts down and sometimes she won’t talk to her friends for weeks. I just feel that people go through so much in the world and some are not as strong as others. My mom could never do what that young man did but I know if her bullies or people that hurt her ever got messed up she would feel nothing nor sadness for them.

So sad considering this kid is young. We clearly have a societal issue needing to be handled since we are breeding a culture of aggression into these youth. They watch us, learn from us, and honestly we aren’t displaying honorable behavior around our kids anymore so how can we expect any different from them. The irony is…. How can this be happening....what a waste of lives and this young man's life. He is a child. What kind of life has he had, neglected, not guided, not loved, disaffected by his parents? There are no decent male role models for young men who are living in unstable or poor families, picked on at school for not having the latest stuff, finding it hard to fit in, honestly all of society is guilty for this. We should ALL hang our heads in shame for creating a society that creates and allows these things and neglect of children. He is a child. He killed children. This kid's parents weren't good people. They purchased this kid a weapon despite KNOWING he had a predisposition to this type of behavior. Many people forget that his parents immediately fled to Detroit to hide out after the massacre. His mom could have warned the school. Look up the texts these people made the day they found out their kid murdered innocent children. They were more concerned about their jobs and horses than they were about what their son did. When they found out they were going to be held accountable they then hid out in a warehouse to try to lay low. They don't care about what happened, only what WILL happen to them. They should be imprisoned for life.

Here in Australia, when teenagers get cuckoo, they commit suicide, which is never discussed in public news reportage. Kids here have to go through a terribly onerous two year exam process to get out of high school and into university. During the 2 years of Covid lockdowns, three boys of my daughter's larger social group killed themselves: one by hanging, one threw himself off a cliff and was found on a beach 40-50 miles away and one threw himself on a subway track. All this happened from December to June. No guns were involved. All the boys' parents had reported "problems" with the boys because of their attitudes towards their exams and future plans. The parents thought the boys weren't being serious about their exams. Though I was SO GLAD such crimes can't happen here, I was so sad that those parents couldn't have helped their boys out better, just as these parents surely could have done better.
