Walker's Shortbread is a common treat in my house, welcome with all afternoon cups of tea. The Terry's Chocolate Orange is also a classic stocking item in my house. Everyone in my family gets one every year for Christmas. I could have had one during a semester abroad in St. Andrews, Scotland, but chose to abstain to keep that association with Christmas.

such a shame they didn't take to the Twiglets - I love them, especially at Christmas & Easter as a 'treat'. (and Marmite in all its serving suggestions [GB, Cardiff] ) I came to like Liquorice allsorts as an adult - was never keen as a child. Can't beat a Bourbon :-) Also like the Jammy dodger.

Oh my god, if you’ve never had marmite… do not let twiglets be the thing you try and think you’ve had marmite. I LOVE marmite and I HATE twiglets. You have to have marmite on a nice warm heavily buttered slice of toast. Don’t put too much marmite. It’s delicious!

I used to love Twiglets as a kid, as an adult I wouldn't go near them now I have Marmite. I often wonder though if getting used to Twiglets as a kid is like a stepping stone to enjoying Marmite later in life. Someone should do proper science to see how many Marmite lovers ate Twiglets when they were younger.

I used to be addicted to licorice all sorts. But I can no longer have licorice because it contains gluten and also because a lot of the flavors contain coconut and I am now allergic to coconut. I absolutely love black licorice but I have not been able to find the gluten-free version
