I’ve been using the Fox Raptor for the last few years. Doesn’t breath well… but has kept me from getting “punched” in the kidneys or ribs a few times, CE Level 2. I absolutely love how it distributes the weight of my riding pack also.

Ive been wearing the troylee shock doctor long sleeve shirt. Its not too bulky and has done its job several times for me. Sure its hotter than not wearing anything, but its breathable and worth wearing This vest looks nice, thanks Kyle

Been riding since I was 5, every time I smacked a piece of my body riding, I covered it with protection every time after that. Needless to say I wear a full complement of protective gear at 42 years old every time I ride now. Those look awesome and are on my wish list, use a Zacspeed setup right now and it's awesome.

Looks nice, I'll have to think about purchasing one of these. About a month ago I fell and fractured one of my ribs on the side. I wonder if this would have prevented that.

The Tek Vest is the go to vest in the snowmobile industry. Almost every Sno Cross racer wears a Tek Vest. I have been using a Tek Vest on the snow and dirt for for over 10 years. The Tek Vest provides more protection to your vital organs then most off road vest.

I bought the tekvest bushmaster. Definitely pricey, but it's the best vest I've ever had. Very breathable while riding in Moab this year. And the profile of it is not bulky so it feels like it's fused to you. The only thing I didn't like about it was if you want the plate for the back you have to buy the additional riding pack. You're already spending a lot of money on the vest and to not have the back plate included seemed like they're pushing you into a corner to spend more money. With that said, I do like the large pack as it did have plenty of storage.

Do you typically wear it over or under your jersey? I'm assuming over if you've got a pack with it, but do you wear it under where you have a different pack?

I don’t want to be a hater but how can they justify a $499 price for this? I could see spending $120-$150 tops for something like this. There are a lot of chest protectors on the market for around $100…

I agree but i've tried several of the budget ones and they don't make a season. My $229 Fox Raptor started falling apart in 15 hours. $500 if it lasts 5 years is cheaper than replacing a low cost option several times over.

While i am sure these are relatively safe, they are not certified to a CE level 1, or CE level 2 rating. these are bulky stiff, and poor breathability. CE level 1 out there for more protection and lighterweight, and more breathable.

Name one product that you recommend… I can’t find anything that provides this much protection. I bought the bushmaster and love it. It’s maiden voyage was a late Spring training class. Never felt overheated and I’m sensitive to heat.. nor did I feel constrained.
