This was another excellent documentary on what is perhaps the 2nd most important city (at least by size) in Judah. One thing should be revised, though. At 15:03 the narrator says that King Hezekiah was "in rebellion" against King Sennacherib. The correct wording is that Hezekiah would "not submit" to Sennacherib's demands. There is a big difference.

The more i learn of the Jews and all the wars and history, the more i see the hand of God preserving these people through history. He punishes them, but he never let's them get wiped out. No other people, on the planet have gone through so much in terms of captivity, and coming back into the land. It's a miracle.

Would you please explain how Egypt get such advanced knowledge and what was in or happening Israel land while they ruled or before? If Israel is so important why wasn't it from the beginning of mankind? Why isn't Giza and Sinai as important or more than the temple mount?
@HolyLandSite
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. The nation of Israel was formed by God when He called Abraham. Then from Abraham was born Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Because of a famine in Israel, Jacob went to Egypt in around 1800 BC. There were only about 70 people of the nation of Israel at that time. Then they grew into a large nation during the 400 years of slavery they spent in Egypt. Therefore, Egypt existed before the nation of Israel. That's why they were more advanced than Israel.

The common teachings of Christianity do not observe the true Sabbath Day. And the true holy days have been watered down and replaced by pagan holidays. So many are not "right with God"!

You know what’s so interesting about this city? It proves that modern day Jerusalem isn’t the Jerusalem of the Jebusites at all. The kings of Assyria was headed to Jerusalem but stop at Lachish 1st. Jerusalem should be south of Lachish, not north. Why would the Kings of Assyria past Jerusalem and go all the way south just to go back north to conquer Jerusalem when they would have past it to get to Lachish. It doesn’t make any sense. The place where you can only find the Holy of Holies in the land is the actual Jerusalem.

btw the King James bible says THE angel from the Lord not AN angel, that angel was Jesus Christ, I hear all these ridiculous sermons that any angel can kill 185,000, NO, that was Jesus Christ Himself that killed the Assyrians, not some random rank and file angel
