This video features a KSF CT251, 2045 (PV45), which is from Mandai Depot to serve TEL for the whole day, from TE17 Outram Park to TE23 Tanjong Rhu.
Today marks the official opening of TEL4 (which also links the existing TEL1-3 to the new TEL4 stations at Gardens by the Bay), and it is definitely one of the much-anticipated events by everyone (including train enthusiasts). TEL4 sees 7 new stations which brings greater connectivity to the Eastern Side of Singapore and saves some travel time (of up to 30 minutes) among the commuters!
This video shows you the changes that have been made since the opening of the Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4. Note that the signages have been updated to remove the U/C status from Tanjong Rhu to Bayshore, and now the new terminus is Bayshore (until 2026).
That also means that we bid farewell to Gardens by the Bay being the terminus, since Bayshore have taken over the status for the next 2 years. At Gardens by the Bay, commuters would also no longer need to alight and can continue their journey straight towards the TEL4 stations with the signages also updated.
That also means that the train would no longer use GRB sidings (unless for emergency cases).
