Great video, I'm just wondering why I didn't get the Bigsby closer to the bridge. It was not necessary?? I have seen in other telecasters that it is very close. Regards

Hi. Thanks for watching. This was actually one of my first ever projects years ago! I can’t remember the specifics but as long as you’re happy with the break angle of the strings off the back of the bridge (the strings don’t jump out of the saddles when bending) then it doesn’t matter. I think I just preferred the look of it with it further back. So long ago now I can’t really remember.

What kind of bridge plate did you use for this? Did you buy it in a kit with the vibrato or seperately?

Hi. I believe it was a full kit. This is one of my first KZitem projects so it’s a bit hard for me to remember clearly.

How do you like those saddles?

Hi. Thanks for the comment. I actually don’t play this guitar now. I use it as a template for other builds and ideas. It’s my practice piece now.

U measure scale length using the high E string from back of the nut to the front of the saddle or wherever the string contacts the saddle. U do not use the low E. Often times bridges r compensated back an 1/8” on the low E side. I’ve never seen a guitar w a perfect 25.5” scale length as measured on the low side as u claim. It’s always longer on that side. Always. Acoustics same thing.

Yes you’re correct. This is quite an old video now. I’ve learned and refined my methods since then. Thanks for your comment.

I think it was a bullet if I remember correctly. It was pretty cheap!
