In search for effective and gentle methods to accelerate fibre optic expansion, the German Telekom tested the minimally invasive keyhole method as part of a field trial in Emmerich. There, the GRUNDOPIT KS50 was used to install an FTTH house connection from a circular excavation pit to the end customer's connection room. After only 2.5 hours, the connection was complete and the asphalt surface sustainably restored.
