You've got so many phones mainly on line 1. Why 3 lines instead of 1 or 2?

@@JordanU but one phone is enough in a bedroom. They ring in the middle of the night, your screwed. I have two phones in my bedroom. My AT&T Landline Phone and Apple Cell Phone, not many different brands of phones in one room that wake you up when taking a nap.

I have recently found a way to have all of my answering machines on at once. My main answering machine (AT&T CL82213) is set to pick up after 4 rings, and every other machine in the house is set to a greater (either 6 or 7) rings. That way, the main answering machine is the only one picking up, and the others are on, but none of them answer the calls!

I usually just have one turned on,, sometimes 2 (one with a higher ring count than the other) in case I unplug the first one or it gets disconnected by mistake or whatever..
@techwithtyler20

It is actually possible for 2 or more to answer at once, but then the caller would hear 2 or more greetings overlapping. You could record a greeting into one, and then, on the other(s), record a silent greeting that's as long as the first greeting.

I do understand that but why so many in just one room? and on the same line? Like having 3-5 phones go off at the same time when someone calls that line. Its pointless and kinda ridiculous. Im not saying collecting phones is dumb but having that many phones in one room and all on the same line and having them go off all at the same time.
