This is such a sick series… I prefer strong thru bridges… I’ve heard they don’t make a noticeable difference in sound, but I tell myself it does… and I swear I can “feel” it 😂

Yeah not really much if a difference but they are damn aesthetically pleasing and they feel really nice!

A little bit of wood fill and that hole will look perfect. That drill press device looks pretty slick. I don’t know how many not straight holes I’ve created over the years haha. Looking forward to the next one man!

Yep I already patched it up! The drill press is slick that’s for sure! The next one should be pretty sweet. Basically finished filming it

Yeah anything would have been better than a Brad point for that application haha. Oh well it all worked out! Thanks for watching!

Don't drill 1 and 6 all the way thru, just enough for the point to come thru, then use dividers and an owl to mark out positions (of course with a ruler or a straight edge), just using the base plate often generates these issues. Also, being that these holes are pretty important a drill press is the way to go... Bradpoints are the way to go too, just always drill larger holes first (their point needs wood or it will wobble and create those elongated holes), the smaller's point can follow the one from the larger.

All excellent points! I now have a drill press, so worth the expense! I’ve since built more guitars and will never go back to not using the press! This guitar was a good learning experience. My other ones are so much nicer. Thanks for the tips!
