What a delight to get a glimpse of your thought process about film & photography. Perhaps you would share your recipe for developing HP5 sometime. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Can you please talk about what is the process that you go through, albeit it may be subconscious in its nature that makes you pick and choose what you would be photographing? Perhaps discussing those visual cues that may lend an insight to your processes?

Great video, as usual. I agree with you that TriX is more contrasty than HP5, but I was wondering if you finding it too contrasty might not in part be due to your pushing film 2 stops, as pushing film and contrasts. What do you think?

It’s a completely valid comment, however, it’s all about degrees. HP5 and Tri X will both increase in contrast when pushed. But if Trix is already inheritantly contrasty, there’s not much leeway. HP5 is less contrasty to begin with. Developers, the manner in which you agitate together with a less contrasty German lens provide me with a more malleable negative.
