hah, only drawn to help with the clothing layer. It's one cheat I allowed myself, drawing clothes over him that act like he has a human body, rather than trying to solve drapery over his mechanical frame.

At 4:15 what technique do you use to thicken the outline :o great video tho, i learned a lot just from applying some of the technqiues

It's a few steps. I use the lines to make a mask for that layer (so now the layers look like this: line / mask). I make a new blank layer between line and mask (layers: line / new / mask). I select the mask (cntrl click the image on the mask layer. it should select everything on that layer) and go to select > modify > expand and select how big you want the expansion to be. Then, in the 'new' layer, I fill it with black. I then select the mask layer again, but this time delete it from the black fill in the 'new' layer. I now have a thick black outline.
