An intriguing insight into the social and cultural changes in an Indian community in Northern NSW, where traditional arranged marriages and maintenance of faith are being challenged by contemporary Australian influences.
Harbinder and Sarvie are two young Sikh -- Australian girls, growing up in a traditional community of Sikh banana farmers in the country town of Woolgoolga. In a community dominated by the Temple committee, there isn't any room for free will. Harbinder has an arranged marriage in India but Sarvie is "ex-communicated from the community because of her
marriage" to a white Australian man. This documentary portrays the ongoing generational conflict from the point of view of young Australian-Indians.
