Yay, Dick Spanner A Gerry Anderson production voiced by Shane Rimmer, who was Scott Tracy.

But funnily he used the unused first episode of the unmade third series which wasn’t voiced by Shane.

Deadly Games is the opposite of the guy getting trapped in his game: he summons characters from the game into the real world. The main villain is played by Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future)

"Did I miss any out?" There's one I've been looking/waiting for I haven't seen yet. I don't remember the name of the show, that's why I'm waiting for it. I think the premise was that there's a family unit in a spaceship roaming the stars, they might be one of the last remnants of humanity, and they have a restaurant on their ship maybe? The patriarch had a southern US drawl. The thing I remember most is that they served something to an alien and he liked it, asked what it was called; "Homemade apple pie" was the answer. This alien wants to franchise out "homemade apple pie" but the clan isn't interested. US show (possibly Canadian but I don't think so), sometime in the mid to late 1970s I think. It wasn't a movie though it may have been based on one, it was a short lived series. NOT _Lost in Space,_ or _Ark II,_ or _Jason of Star Command._

When you played the Animated Alf, you mentioned it was a surprise to you. How about Gilligan's Planet, The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang

There were actually TWO Alf cartoons. The other one was "Alf Tales", and had the characters from the other Alf 'toon recreate famous fairy tales.

Yeah there were a lot of cartoon adaptations in the 90s especially and even the 80s. Loved the animated Men in Black and Real Ghostbusters. And of course the animated Spawn series from HBO was bloody brilliant with Keith David doing the voice of Spawn (he also did Goliath in Gargoyles).

3:06 Shows like this gotta have a song. Only in Japan! 8:19 I remember when Alf announced a cartoon show. When I saw it, I preferred it over the live-action sitcom.

Deadly Games wasn't about a guy trapped in virtual reality. It was about a guy having to deal with the characters from his video game brought to life. Bad guys based on people from his life.

Yet more gems. Now have to rewatch Adam Adamant :) Also , does Danger 5 count as Sci Fi?

I enjoyed Adam Adamant (I found it here on KZitem) and am always amazed at how many sci-fi shows the world produced while the good old USA just put them out with a eye dropper. #3 - Star Wolf, was cut into a couple of "Made for TV" movies and sold in the USA as "Fugitive Alien." It was made famous by the gang at Mystery Science Theater 3000. (See Forklift song) Was Deadly Games the genesis for Jumanji? Dick Spanner, P.I. was a creation of Gerry Anderson, whose name I do not have to explain here, I am sure. Great job as usual.

Dick Spanner has lived rent free in my memory sincew the days it was used as filler on Network 7 (the edgy 80s "yoof" programme with Magenta Devine and Sankha Guha, not the TV station)

It may just be outside the UK but I don't run into many people who heard of Star Cops. That's a shame, especially now, because it shows what Siri, Alexa, Cortana and Google Assistant could be if they weren't crap.

You could definitely make a video series of little known cartoons that were based on a live action movie or tv show as well as video games. Toxic Avenger, Ace Ventura, The Mask, Ed Grimly, Conan the Adventurer, Flash Gordon, Pac Man, Super Dave Osborne, Plastic Man (I’m still annoyed the dvd release of this one didn’t include the live action segments), Jumanji, Dragons Lair… just to name some.

One that sticks in the mind because it was on bbc1 at 4.30pm on a weekday was the Three Robotic Stooges. Which had the three stooges. If they were robots. I had never heard of them before this, and even then didn't get familiar with the original. And I always came in early on during an episode, so never knew the set up. Since they had the letters L M and C on the front of their outfits respectively, I somehow assumed they were called Louie Mickey and Crewey. Go figure.
