I had extensor tendon repair surgery on my ring and small fingers, and I was looking for some rehab exercises. Came across this. It's the first day in, and I think they work really well for me because I can feel my tendons beginning to "awaken." Thanks for posting!

Drey Skot i had surgery three weeks a go. Just like you. In my ring finger. And its been three days since the doctor open the bandage so im here looking for something to help me with my fingers. I hope you doing okay and keep practising these exercises.

I have had tendon injury in my knucklew because of repetitive boxing. I injured my self in December 2020, still to this day my hands are no good. Hopefully these exercises and drinking Collagen will be my savior

For those with hand injuries or post surgery, I recommend occupational therapy. These clinicians were trained specifically in how to rehabilitate hands 🙌

I think it be safe if you ask Physiotherapy for exercise because if you do it wrong or too much pressure on tendon and it can split or cut the tendon.. you do not want to do surgery afterwards

Hey Ashley, how are you doing now? Like you, I could feel every problem when doing the exercises along with the video, but it actually relieved some of the pain while I was doing it. Hope it isn’t worse tomorrow! Scheduled for trigger finger release surgery this coming Monday for right thumb. Wondered if the exercises helped you or made it worse after time. God bless!

Please help me. I had an operation on my hand because the thumb tendon was cut, and after removing the stitches, the doctor advised me to do physical therapy, but the thumb tendon got stuck, so the doctor returned the operation to me so that the tendon moved in its course easily. But now the tendon is still short and my thumb can't reach the palm of the hand and the hand muscle is weak and I still can't grab small things with my fingers. Please advise me with information and how long it takes for the tendon to return to its length, knowing that the first operation was in October and the second was in January, and thank you very much for the videos. They are very useful, but I find it difficult to apply them because the strength of my hands is weak, especially the thumb.

I am so sorry...it has been very painful for me...but I started therapy on my own. I do not know how severe your injury is...I hope that somehow you regain use of your hand. Do not give up, do at least the ones you can and give yourself time. If your injury happened months ago...it will take long time. My injury is recent...my recovery will be 6 months or more. Meanwhile I will do therapy needed...plus my own. I do not want to lose complete use of my hand...wrist. God bless and take care. I hope it works out for you. I will keep you in prayer.

Yes it does work. The body needs movement after an injury, but first you need to reduce as much inflammation as possible just after the injury (elevation, ice).

Then, lend me tell you that I was almost resigned, but after doing this exercise for about a month, I started getting better and finally I recovered about the 90% of my hand movement, even when I lose completely my little and ring fingers movement, also the thumb finger was affected. I wasn't able to find the exact video where I found it, but it is the same exercise: kzitem.info/news/bejne/w5qqypqlcmqYrI4, obviously it will depend on the severity of your injury, but trust me that this will help you a lot and you will see you'll be able to start doing some of the exercises in this video. This exercise help to improve the ulnar nerve pulses, feel free to talk me if you need more information or maybe other exercises that you could do! NEVER GIVE UP! good luck!

I have been resting my issue. I try ice when it swells but I noticed that warmth actually helps more. I think its the blood flow. Im also taking Glucosamine collagen and biotin to promote healing and its helpful. Honesty guys, my biggest personal issue is its so hard to rest my hands lng enough to see the healing I desire... You guys really the thing that helped me the most was spending a whole day in bed.
