Thank you 😊 I can't wait for summer. I just came back from spring break and hiked some beautiful slot canyons in Utah. I just posted a new video about it. It was amazing. Actually here's a link kzitem.info/news/bejne/qIx3sqR-paWUpHYsi=TF3K-cMd-XcDMwck

I really like it. It was extremely clean and well taken care of. And everything so green, but nature provided that 😊🌱🌿🌸🍄

Cool spot. Looks a lot like the The Kern River above kernville. Beautiful..

I love it! Very similar to Kings River, there's a river between the mountains just a little smaller, which is ok. And I like the fact that there is a long trail to hike in, Kings River doesn't have that. But at Kings , you can camp almost anywhere, and here only in campgrounds, no space elsewhere but this is 50 minutes from my house vs 2.5 hours so Merced River comes out as the winner 🥇😊

@@Huntress308 I'm 10 minutes from the high country in D8, , 10 minutes from the lake, 15 to the Kern River. Convenience is great but nothing like new places! I haven't gotten out in a while exploring. I used to just get the forest service map and take off in my Jeep. I'd highlight all the roads I went on until I'd been on them ALL around here. It's great you keep the adventure going! And hey! Almost deer tag time🤘🏻 good luck this year.. I'm going D8 and X10 for 2024.

@@AllenMoffatt-w5h I missed camping so bad, or even just. Ring out there. Between Thanksgiving (bearhunting in B zone) and February I didn't really go anywhere. I was definitely feeling it. That's why I'm so happy about spring. I'm gonna get my archery tag again and go to the A zone in July. I'll just stick with D7, since it's close, but I'll put in for some ridiculously impossible zones like G3 😆 just to get my points. I think I'll have 2 😊I might go up to B zone during Labor day (archery), my friend I hunted with showed me a few spots, it's might be worth the 16-20 hour commute

@@Huntress308 I put in for x9a then x10. G3 would definitely be a dream.. it takes a while to figure out a hunting spot. I've hunted x10 5 times now and no luck. But last year I came real close. I'm thinking I got it figured out this year. You know more than me. A zone, B zone.. persistence pays off tho.

@@AllenMoffatt-w5h the reason I said G3 because I know I wouldn't get it. I just want the points. I don't want to travel out of the area if I don't know it. At least not this year.

I’m glad I found your video! I’m taking my two kids with me for a camping trip in 2 weeks. How was the weather while you were there? And was your campground at the end next to the hiking trail?
@Huntress308

Hi 👋🏼 the weather was very nice. Not cold and not warm. I was actually just now, came back a few hours ago. The one closest to the hiking trail is called Railroad Flat, that's where I was now. It's very nice, the sites are a little more spread out. And there are 3 sites where you can fit in with a small rv which is what I did. The one where this video was made is the 1st campground, it's called McCabe campground. Very pretty but tent only. It will get more crowded and the weather warms up but right now just a few people.

Is this in the National forest or park or combination?
@Huntress308
7 ай бұрын
This is in the national forest but these are developed campgrounds. They have the same thing at Kings River, national forest but also campgrounds around. The only difference here is that there's nowhere else to camp, but at the Kings River you can camp anywhere. It's free either way. At the Merced River it's $10 a night which is still pretty good
