That has never happened to me before or since. It was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and I became a fan for life. Listening to Mr Hill (Mario), for the first time in English - and seeing him for the first time since the early 1980s, I was struck by how little he appears to have aged! Also, and far more important, a successful actor who actually shunned Holywood, he tells us exactly why in terms that most people will understand. He rejected the twisted logic of American film-making hype and chose integrity and honour above the toxic mentality of a degenerate film culture that has almost devoured the world. Good man!

I grew up watching the Trinity movies, this guy and Bud Spencer are American legends. I'm sure everybody in Italy absolutely loves them as well! And of course who doesn't watch Trinity without a bowl of beans and some bread in front of them:-)

What a great interview. Apparently this guy is a very deep and introspective dude. You will notice that in his movies there are very rare.occasions where he actually kills someone.

I suggest you watch God Forgives, I don't. One of the most brutal spaghetti westerns ever to hit the big screens. Very cynical and almost nihilistic work and based on killing.

yes, I saw you're right, it's their first movie together. I was referring to the Trinity saga, and the other 70-80s (not western) movies where they only beat.

Massimo Bernardo actually in the opening scene he kills the two guys who attempt to shoot him through the window, also he kills a few people, however he does not if it is not necessary

I remember as a little boy my dad, friend and me where rolling on the floor laughing so hard when we watch Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies. Good memories. Love the part where he talks about saying no to american action movies because of the violence.

Brilliant thank you! My teenage hero together with Bud Spencer. So much fun!! Great to get insight into his choices to avoid unnecessary violence... I fully agree with him and commend him for the choices he made.

Wow, he is one good looing 84 year-old! Just like Leonardo DiCaprio, his father was Italian and his mother was German. His birth name was Mario Girotti. He speaks without much accent.

Terence Hill and Bud Spencer they made so much movies. They was the biggest movie starts when I was a kid. Comedy, action, western, you name it. True entertainers. They maid lots of movies here in America , but I don't think they recognized by Hollywood. But who need Hollywood when you have fans around the world.

My father and I had all the "Trinity" westerns on VHS when I was just a kid. We watched them together almost weekly. Neither of us had any idea they were Italian films. I'm 44 now and dad has long passed away, but when I watched those films with him one final time before he went, it blew his mind when I told him they were Italian movies and the voices were dubbed.
