I was only born in '46 but somehow became aware of "Put Another Nickel in....." in the mid '50's. Someone somewhere must have had it at home. I loved it then and I love it now that Surius XM has added it to their 50s on 5 playlist. There is something that makes me tingle when she sings "The nicest part of any melody is when you're dancing close to me... " I can imagine her singing it to me and I bet I'm not the only guy that felt that way.

I know, I'm four years behind you on this comment. The song is called Music, Music, Music, and I'd be surprised if you didn't know it. You were already 9 years old when it was re-released in 1955. I'm 20 years younger than you, and my great aunt turned me on to Teresa Brewer at a very young age.

Jukebox Queen Influenced most singers of fifties and later Country singers and Elvis started to sing because of her sing Till I waltz again with you Wanda Jackson sure took her pitch and growl to an excess So much more Teresa tried to be jazzy later on but her not so silly hits were unbeatable by any of today's no talents An age of no egoism Teresa was a major link to rock & roll and still going strong until British started to steal all our graves

people have such a hard time recognizing the truth. brewer had a weird voice and no vocal "soul" and yet old timers remember her as some sort of special great talent. she epitomized the crappiest part of her musical era. theodore sturgeon suggested 95% of everything is crap. the sappy crappy music of the 50's & early 60's was crappier than most and theresa brewer was in the very low portion of that particular 95%.
