Helicopter glacier tour in Juneau is absolutely a bucket list item worth every penny. One of the most stellar memories of my entire life. I didn't have the overshoes, just regular boots and regular socks, and I never knew my feet could be that cold. Standing on ice that's been there for centuries (millennia even?) is SERIOUSLY COLD BEYOND COLD. Alaska recalibrated two things for me: beauty, and immensity. Riding in a helicopter and seeing what looked like big mosquitoes . . . and discovering they were other helicopters! And flying around a "corner" and realizing you just rounded a mountaintop. I'm from Texas, but everything is waaaaaay bigger in Alaska! And the glacier water is why Alaskan Amber beer is *chef's kiss*.

I am not a fan of heights. I’ve never been on a helicopter. It looks like you had a very nice time and it’s great that Noa got to enjoy. I can understand your anxiety about bringing a six month old. With children, there are ups downs with children and you never know how a child will respond in each situation. You just make the best of it good or bad. I was very pleased to hear no matter how small the situation on the helicopter serious and landed the helicopter to have maintenance fix the issue. Thank you, Griff and Alyssa

Guys. Omg. Been waiting for this 🚁 Vlog. Wow. Beautiful baby Noa is experiencing what some adults including myself never will. We sailing Alaska next July but don’t think will do this one. Hats off to the pilot to see and react. Absolutely beautiful the views. Wait. Is Noa sleeping? 😂. You guys are standing on a glacier. Incredible indeed. You can drink it? Woooooow. OBVIOUSLY ITS COLD NOT BITTER BEYOND FREEZING. WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE ON THAT GLACIER???? Omg. Monster brisket sandwiches & 🍔. The pretzel roll does look good. 7:30 pm now. Sampler fish tacos 😋😋😋. Crepes. Amazing Vlog. Thanks for sharing. See you next vid.

I’ve done the helicopter to the glacier on our first cruise, but the 2nd time we went to Alaska, we did the helicopter to the glacier with the dog sledding! Definitely the dog sledding on the glacier was my favorite! Put that on your list for next time you sail Alaska.

I did a land tour in AK a couple years ago and was able to tour a glacier and walk on it. I also filled up my water bottle with glacier water. One of my favorite activities on the tour was hiking to the top of Exit Glacier in Seward and getting an amazing view of the icefield on top. The winds on top were something else. I'm finally going to cruise AK on Silversea next year though we opted for a fishing tour instead of a helicopter tour.
